and other agenda driven complaints

Dec 27, 2025

Why do you care?

Do you have some particular agenda in commenting? Most of the commenters have some specific agenda attached to why they are commenting, especially if it is a negative or attacking comment.

Are you going to help by donating? In my experience, this is NEVER the intent behind asking the question. If it were I’d be more than willing, even in a public environment, to get into that discussion, because not only would more people get an answer to a question most people might have but it would also help me refine the answer to better address the question. This is a daunting thing to expose yourself to, to be put on the spot in the most public way that you can’t hide from but also is a challenge to our own ego… most people, including me, often react negatively when being questioned on details. But hey, that can be a good thing, a learning experience for both us & them….

…but I mean it… How in the world do you expect me to explain this to you on social media in a 150 character response, and then deal with your incessant negative comments in response to my honest, heart felt answers that, even if they a misguided are Truth!

…all that being said I have yet to see the result lead to donation…but that’s on me!

Are you going to promote us?

Most likely you’re not interested in helping us in any form… and to be clear, NEVER will your donations or promotion be the reason for a change in our approach!

Does that shock you? I donate to various things, I share a variety of things, I tell people about a lot of things… what I REFUSE to do is expect or demand that someone change their way of doing, looking at or conducting THEIR business.

That’s not to say I wouldn’t ever consider advice, because even the negative comments, opinion or attacks can bring valuable insight. But we shouldn’t be attempting to manipulate people based on our contributions, small or large.

Ultimately, I think it’s un-Biblical to manipulate people in this way. I ‘ll leave it to others to speak on this, frankly cause they are better able too.

Who are Veterans?

So, as I’ve always said, the military (Veterans) are a microcosm of society at large. We have standards of course, but just like the greater public, we don’t always live up to them.

  • All Ethnic Groups Represented

  • All Sexes Represented… Male & Female

  • All Political Persuasions

  • All Religious Persuasions

  • All Economic Levels

  • All Social Levels

  • All Educational Levels

  • All Life Experience Backgrounds

Veterans are you, me, us! They are those who wrote a blank check and signed it for up and to the amount of the cost of their lives! There are approximately 18 Million Veterans in the U.S., that number fluctuates as our older Veterans pass away and newer Veterans are created through leaving the service for all kinds of reason including retirement, or in my case “Medical Retirement”! They live in just about every single community, in every walk of life.

So, if you want to Support Veterans, which group, subset, segment, do you choose? All? Several? Just a couple? It’s a complicated question and probably is based on whats important to you, you are of interest, or in your wheel house of knowledge or experience.

What do Veterans need?Another great perspective to consider but what do Veterans need? It’s as I said before they’re just like you and I in everyday life, and that questions answer is an enormous area to pick from! Here are just a few things that impact Veterans and drive the need for organizations that provide ANY level of support:

  • Financial assistance

  • Physical Assistance

  • Disability Rating Assistance

  • Mental Health Assistance

  • Spiritual Assistance?

  • Housing Assistance

  • Educational Assistance

  • Food Insecurity Assistance

  • Employment Assistance

  • VA Assistance

  • Retirement Planning Assistance

  • Every Day Physical Assistance

You should be Advocating to support our troops not sending money and supporting Israel… (a real comment, see image below…) Honestly, who do you think you are? I’m not going to address in detail the actual issue in this “comment” because that is a whole other conversation but to sum it it up… your willful ignorance is showing.. I say this using the a Biblical phrase translated out of Hebrew/Greek… because, it is obvious by your comment that you understanding of the issue is one-sided, uninformed, misinformed, not well researched, or at best one sided research… its opinion driven, likely by the internet echo chamber you operate in… you are being intellectually dishonest either willfully or not. Unfortunately, I’ve come to expect nothing less or more from people on the internet You should be saying things like “stop sending billions to Israel to help put Veterans & Americans”... (these are real comments on a post about Islam …no mentions of Veterans…on a post from a nonprofit supporting Veterans… see image below:)

I’m not naive, it doesn’t surprise me but it’s still disturbing the level of willful ignorance being displayed… especially with the profile image displayed… again, I’m not going to get into details of the profile photo or the breakdown of facts on the issue which completely contradict the posters comment…

What I will say is to this comment is… we have an arrangement/contract with Israel, they receive funding, they buy & invest that money back into the US through required purchases according to those contracts on order to receive funding to start with… as a result industry is support, jobs are created/continue, this affects hundreds of indirect companies & individuals through jobs, taxes, support of the community surrounding them… oh, and by the way Veterans are impacted through EVERY level of the US economy… again, your willful ignorance is showing…and it isn’t a good look!

So why do I do what I do?

I’m limited due to my disabilities, PTSD/TBI, anxiety, depression, physical issues from head to toes. And I’m NOT, despite what you might be thinking, making excuses as these are factual impacts seen every day, even on the good days, in various ways in various forms. REMEMBER: Veterans are as individual any other segment of society! Every ailment, problem or situation is different even if the resulting diagnoses i.e., PTSD with a % rating, is similar.

Diagnoses DOES NOT equal RESULT! Why am I telling you this? Because background means something, experience is important, effects of service affects everyone differently. Until you know me you won’t understand me… it’s still different even if you do…ask my wife, without her the odds of me being here struggling to get though writing a coherent sentence, let alone paragraph or article, idea… would be very, very, low…

Five plus years ago, when I decided to start an organization to support Veterans, the non-profit looked entirely different than it does today. It’s still just me with occasional help from others. I wanted to do something but I didn’t really understand what or why. Maybe that still true today, but today its bring driven by some different motivations like personal beliefs in the Almighty in addition to realistic expectations based on what I can actually do. I see a ton of faith based non-profits out there doing awesome things, Hunting & Fishing trips, getaways, event tickets, scholarships, programs in various areas, etc., etc., for our Veterans… but most of that is beyond my capacity even on the stress, knowledge, funding, connections, reach, etc… I share them as much as I can on my FB page Warrior Tradition Fund … just sharing them can be overwhelming depending on whats affecting me at the current moment… depression occurs in the weirdest ways, and that is a tool of the enemy, but I am getting better at fighting it… jealousy, envy, pride and all the rest cause stress, anxiety & depression.. don’t judge me too quickly until you have worn my underwear

yes 🤣, I just said that, that’s for paying attention and reading this far…

I’m not an expert on anything to be honest… but I believe that the biggest issue Veterans have is related to the Spiritual! This doesn’t discount or discredit any other need or issue, and to be clear I will assist in any way I can but…

We train people to fight, survive and accomplish the mission… then we set them aside, leave them to their own devices, feed them pills and wonder why so many commit suicide, turn to drugs, or crimes… nobody is teaching them or helping them with the spiritual effect of war, EVEN IF THEY DON’T DIRECTLY FIGHT… There isn’t enough space, time, or on my part brain power, to explain this here… IYKYK if you don’t then you need to partner with a non-profit supporting Veterans like us…

So, I post about current issues such as: Islam, Christianity, Social, Political, Economic, Geopolitical, Wars, etc., from a Biblical perspective… and Israel is front and center in that discussion… therefore anything that affects Israel… and the Bible has the answers to all of it… it shows us through prophecy what was, what is, and what will be… and only with the insight the Bible provides can we begin to understand why the things that are happening, are happening…And to suggest this has nothing to do with my Brothers & Sisters in Arms shows your willful ignorance… in the Bible, In God, and to my point Veteran lives!

Do you get it now? Do you understand even a little? Even AI gets it: “Never leave a battle buddy behind” is a core military ethos, a solemn promise to always protect and recover comrades, embodying selfless service and camaraderie, meaning soldiers are bound to try everything to bring fallen or captured buddies home, even if it risks further casualties, fostering deep trust and morale by ensuring no one is abandoned in combat, a principle supported by programs like the Army’s “No Battle Buddy Left Behind“ to support mental well-being too.

Meaning & Significance

  • Warrior Ethos: It’s a cornerstone of the U.S. military’s Warrior Ethos, a creed stating, “I will never leave a fallen comrade”.

  • Promise to Each Other: It signifies an unbreakable bond, a promise that every effort will be made to recover fallen soldiers or rescue captured ones.

  • Psychological Impact: Knowing this promise exists provides immense psychological comfort, boosting morale and fighting spirit, as soldiers trust their buddies will risk everything for them.

Practical Application

  • Recovery Efforts: It drives extensive efforts to find and return missing service members, even years later, like the case of Matt Maupin.

  • Buddy System: It’s supported by the “Battle Buddy” system, where soldiers look out for each other’s physical and mental well-being, using tools like the ACE (Ask, Care, Escort) method.

Challenges

  • Tactical Realities: While the ideal is absolute, tactical situations sometimes make recovery impossible, though every effort is made, sometimes at great cost, as noted in discussions on military forums.

Beyond Combat

  • Mental Health: The concept extends to reintegration, with programs like the Battle Buddy Bridge helping veterans support each other through PTSD and readjustment challenges

Not addressed by AI in its information is the Spiritual application of leaving no one behind… now you know.
