Did you know you are prevented, by law, as a Veteran to receive government subsidies for both disability and special separation pay? Apparently, the VA forgot about this law... The VA is going after Veterans as a result of realization during the reviews of PACT Act claim filings. So, the ever caring VA decide to recoup the funds paid out in the past, even 30 years ago.
Sure, they are following the law now, to the detriment of the Veteran who accepted what the DoD & VA said. Now Veterans financial stability, housing, etc., are in jeopardy simply because the VA screwed up.
